Maybe we should borrow Christian's BOB trailer, and we can strap MDS to it... "Secure your load", and all that...
I assume you are also willing to tow it?
HEY! sure, i may have gained a few pounds, but i can surely think like a feather
as I giggle to myself conjuring up the mental picture of MDS delicately perched on a BOB trailer, shouting words of encouragement to Mr. C.
FASTER-FASTER-FASTER!!!
Tour de France is just around the corner, so the proper shout would be:
Allez! Allez!
any chance for a 9:40 start?
Wow! Thanks for the time-slack on Sunday (11 whole minutes!)
I'm planning on having a you-know-who moment and forgetting my bicycle or glasses or camera or shoes, so the extra minute will come in handy!
Ride Report
Good ride. It was the FOG's out for a very nice ride. Just what the Dr. ordered. Perfect bike choice for me anyway. Russ still seems to be "dialing in" his Hab. No real exciting things to note other than the few Dip S%*#'s driving with their brains switched off along Alki and a couple of handfuls. Fun ride. Advertised pace was pretty much the rule of the day. Got back with around 50 miles and didn't really notice average speed and frankly don't really care. Had FUN-that was the most important thing. C U LTR.....
oops, forgot one ride note:
structural failure on rear cool faux wood fender. I'll now have to invest in the real deal to continue theme and spirit of the Langster. Look for me sporting real wood sometime in the future......
Forgot the "line of the day":
Dale flipped his bike over at Christensen Park to change from single-speed to fixie mode. An elderly couple approached, and the man makes an attempt at humor by saying: "What, did you break it already?". Understanding what humor really is, your Engineer replies: "No, it's not broken, but I am fixing it."
Another hapless victim-showing up to a battle of wits unarmed.
hmmmm...i dont get it
Word of the day was "HEY!!" when the black Honda pulled out right in front of John C. after he tried to chase down a Hummer that missed his shoulder by inches. After the "word" was screamed out, John C. looked up, made evasive manuevers, and the lady in the black Honda moved out smartly! Closest I've seen to a true center punch in a while.
Thanks to Marshall for the "hey".
